They'll go anywhere to make their nests.Gwen Sticklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01928837527329485640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6295373605659554406.post-8709303024737924952010-04-15T18:16:32.336-06:002010-04-15T18:16:32.336-06:00I know what you mean. I currently have a coven of ...I know what you mean. I currently have a coven of the sneaky little...um...birds living in the roof above my bedroom. You'd think that gravity were increased by a factor of 10 when they fly into the little holes they've managed to tear out of the air vents under the eaves. The stomp and scrape and generally make me think that at any moment a whole colony of Heidi eating birds will drop on top of me in a pile of lumber and drywall dust. (flashback to The Birds - the movie, not the family :) I've had offers to poison, smoke out and block the hole stranding them in there until they die a terrible death. I shudder to think of the Karmic consequences to any of those particular tactics, so I deal. And I wait. Wait and deal. Deal and wait. Meanwhile, I know they're up there laughing their tail feathers off at my predicament and soft human heart.Heidi Sutherlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09971919374868351376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6295373605659554406.post-16270724391888492362010-04-15T18:09:36.803-06:002010-04-15T18:09:36.803-06:00That's hysterical. I do!
That reminds me ...Don't you love Spring? I do!

That reminds me of a funny story: When we lived in Provo our married student ward had a fair number of duplexes. One day we were having dinner with some friends and they were complaining about the birds waking them up every morning at 6:30 am because they were making so much noise! I was surprised, and wondered why they didn't simply ask them to be quieter (their duplex neighbors were another family in our ward - the Birds!) It took me a while to realize she meant the kind of birds that fly! I remember it not making sense to me because they were a pretty quiet family. Good thing I didn't say anything about it at the time! ;)Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07263989945988061059noreply@blogger.com
